Why Us?
It started with our own dogs having skin, allergy, gut,
health, and energy issues. We transitioned our 13
year old dog, and have seem amazing changes and
his quality of life completely different. We are a family
who had had dogs and run dog businesses for the past
20 years, and after making changes for our own dogs,
we provided the same for our customers and families'
dogs. Feeding fresh is a passion of ours - we love
dogs!

How Long Will my Digstown Food Stay Fresh?Your Food is cooked fresh, gently frozen, and immediately shipped to your door. In the freezer, 3 months. After thawing, use within 3 days. Our food contains no preservatives.

How Do I start Feeding Fresh Food?Start with a 25/75 split between fresh/current dog food for days 1-3; move to 50/50 for days 4-7; and then move to all fresh food at day 8. Your doggie will love their new food, but we still want to give their gut some time to catch up with the change. Watch their skin, nails, coat, eyes, energy, and poo(!) change :)

Why do we feed our dogs kibble?Brands started using extrusion to turn wet and dry ingredients into a dough-like mixture which was then cooked in pressurized steam or water to create a dry dog food. Enter: kibble. Kibble as a mass produced product was then first created in 1956 and by 1964 The Pet Food Institute (a lobbying group for the pet food industry) launched a series of marketing ad campaign to convince consumers that commercially prepared dog food was the only option to feed. While this was convenient, it is a system that has continued to this day. Whole fresh food should be available for our dogs, just as it is for us humans.
